From its foundation, NetInfo has been investing funds into the development of its infrastructure. Therefore the company’s environment is productive, reliable, and secure.

 

NetInfo infrastructure includes:

  • Three levels in the four-storey building in company’s rent (more than 600 sq. m)
  • More than 60 fully-equipped workplaces
  • An office telephone exchange
  • Structured cable system
  • 1Gbit/100Mbit local network, scalable up to 70 nodes
  • Two separate internet uplinks provided by independent ISPs
  • 24/7 guarded office
  • Data backup and security checks performed routinely on a regular basis
  • Uninterruptible power supply for a mission-critical hardware
  • Web-hosting server in a separate DM-zone.

Foreword

NetInfo understands the increasingly important role of factors such as reliable customer communication, secure data storage, and data protection from unauthorized access, in the provision of software development services. Special attention is given to the improvement of working conditions because we consider the company’s highly skilled personnel to be the primary competitive advantage.

Therefore, from its inception NetInfo has been investing funds into the development of the infrastructure.

Premises

The company has a long term rent agreement in a three-storey building, located in the center of Chisinau, Moldova. The total office space is more than 600 sq.m.

The building meets the requirements of international standards developed by ISO and other well-recognized institutions.

The building is equipped with a powerful air-conditions, which hold the specified temperature and supplies sufficient fresh air intake to ensure comfortable working conditions.

Each individual’s workplace is at least 65 ft (6 sq. m), providing comfortable conditions for productive work.

NetInfo follows an organizational policy of providing a separate office space to each project team. This may be a separate room for a small or medium size team, or several rooms for a larger team.

Hardware and Software

NetInfo has developed an internal standard to unify the hardware and software used in the company. Thus most of 35 workplaces are equipped with Hewlett-Packard PCs built on Intel processors and motherboards, and Samsung 17” TFT monitors. MS Windows 2000/2003 and XP/Vista software is installed on these PCs. There are about seven servers based on MS Windows 2000 and 2003 acting as domain controllers, mail, backup, version control, and DBMS servers used in NetInfo internal development process and different database-related projects. Additionally, company uses servers with different software platforms (Windows, SCO UnixWare, Solaris, Linux and BSD) to realize current projects.

Additionally, as required, the server park is upgraded and customized according to the current tasks. All servers operate under strict supervision and ensure the confidentiality and security of the processed data.

Structured Cable System

The network is based on a structured cable system (SCS) and was built with triple reservation.

The SCS is supporting 1 Gbit network to:

  • integrate the local computer network and telephone system
  • allow flexible and quick re-arrangement of the teams
  • facilitate the network management

Internet

At NetInfo we use two optical cable Internet uplinks, provided by separate ISPs, which operate independent connections to the main backbones in the US and the EU, to ensure unbroken communication.

Analysis of our statistical reports confirms that the average annual Internet outage time has not exceeded four hours.

Customer Communication

NetInfo telephone network and local network are based on the same SCS. Currently the office exchange operates 12 internal and 5 external telephone lines. Customers can contact NetInfo at any time and be sure that their call will be accepted. They can also take advantage of IP phone communication, web-cameras, instant messaging and e-mail. With the help of these communication facilities we are able to stay in reliable 24/7 contact with our customers.
